Coconut Oil...Just for cooking? I think NOT!!!
Ever wonder why coconut oil seems to be a staple product for natural girls? Well I am here to list some of the benefits and to tell you why I love it so much as a moisturizer!!
Benefits: (my hair has a low porosity)
1. It absorbs quickly into my hair and keeps my scalp from drying out.
2. Helps with itch scalp and keeps the dandruff away
3. It helps my hair to retain moisture
4. Helps with the thickening of my hair
5. All those vitamins in there give your hair and scalp an extra boost towards great hair health!!!

This is the one I use. It's at Wal-Mart for $7 bucks!! Deal or what. I also hear that Trader Joe's works well. I will try that out and review it later!
So if you are looking to give your hair a boost in health, shine and thickness, give coconut oil a try and tell me what you think in the comment section below!!

Protect that hair!!
It's almost time for fall and some very harsh weather! What to do with that hair? No worries!!! I have a few ideas!
Scarves!!!! E-bay is a great source to find scarves for the cheap and they are beautiful! Or you can do like I do and that is go to Wal-mart or the fabric store and buy fabric by the yard!!!
A yard of fabric is a great amount of fabric for twisting the scarf in all different shapes and styles!
Another way to protect those tresses??
Beanies!!!! Yep you heard me right! Beanies! They are thick and can hold lots of hair to protect it from these falling temperatures. To add even more protection: sew (or use fabric glue) a satin cap to the underside of the beanie! Now, your hair isn't just protected but less frizzy! Now isn't that awesome?
